How your e-cards can make a lasting difference

FARM-Africa works directly with farmers, herders and forest communities to find sustainable ways for them to produce more food whilst also protecting the environment for future generations.

Africa's forests are being depleted at an alarming rate. Our forest projects enable people who depend on the forest for survival to develop alternative livelihoods and turn their traditional skills into sustainable enterprises. In Tanzania, alternative livelihoods such as raffia weaving and beekeeping offer a sustainable way of using natural resources to make a living.

FARM-Africa have already helped many people to turn raffia weaving into a successful business - like Paulina Hotay. She says, ‘I make 15,000 Tanzanian shillings a month (about £7) and this helps me pay for my children's schooling and clothing. Before I made less than 2,000 shillings (less than £1) a month and it wasn't enough to live on."

By sending FARM-Africa e-cards you can improve the lives of African families and also protect the forest environment for future generations by using less paper!
