Below is an extract from Mike describing how he got involved with FARM-Africa. “I spent a formative year in Kenya as a teenager in the late 70's during which time I met Mike and Sue Wood, returning, for holidays, on several occasions over the following decades…..more recently (since 1999) I have become actively involved in fundraising for FARM-Africa. This I have done through an initiative with the children at the school where I currently work. We grow and sell plants, collecting our own seed , making our own compost and establishing a nursery that is now self supporting and able to produce a regular income for FARM-Africa…..” If you would like to nominate a Friend of FARM member to be in the spotlight or would like to tell your own story please contact Rosie Rendall in head office. |
