FARM-Africa Home

FARM-Africa works with poor African farmers, helping them to produce more food for their families. We want to make sure future generations don't have to depend on handouts of aid.

Friend of FARM - Spotlight

Our first spotlight will feature Mike Woodhouse.  Below is an extract from Mike describing how he got involved with FARM-Africa.

“I spent a formative year in Kenya as a teenager in the late 70's during which time I met Mike and Sue Wood, returning, for holidays, on several occasions over the following decades…..more recently (since 1999) I have become actively involved in fundraising for FARM-Africa. This I have done through an initiative with the children at the school where I currently work.  We grow and sell plants, collecting our own seed , making our own compost and establishing a nursery that is now self supporting and able to produce a regular income for FARM-Africa…..”

If you would like to nominate a Friend of FARM member to be in the spotlight or would like to tell your own story please contact Rosie Rendall in head office.
