Gifts in your will

The prospect of dying is not something that we like to think about. But as it is, after all, something that we will all have to deal with at some point, we should be prepared to leave our affairs in good order and make sure our loved ones are caused as little distress as possible later on. It is a very personal matter, but also one that gives each and every one of us an amazing opportunity to act.

Leaving a legacy is one of the most rewarding and long-lasting gifts that many people will ever be able to give. It's the one opportunity that we all have to make a lasting difference to a cause we really believe in.

A gift in your will gives us the power to help those who need it most, long after we are gone. Your support in this way means that we can continue to work towards a better world for some of Africa's poorest farmers.

       John Gitonga - Kenya

John Gitonga Muthengi is a Community Animal Health Worker (CAHW) for the Muungano farmers' group in Meru South District, Kenya. Previously a coffee farmer reaping little returns, he was trained in basic animal health care by FARM-Africa. Now John treats around 62 animals a month and his family's standard of living has really improved. He earns enough to pay for his children's schools fees and to buy rice, maize flour, beans and even meat during droughts. He has extended his timber house, installed a piped water supply and can afford to buy feed for his animals.

"Without my work, I would not have been able to pay school fees for my children. I am so happy with my job as a Community Animal Health Worker" he says.
