Help FARM-Africa to mark World Food Day
In 2009 FARM-Africa helped over four million people to build pathways out of poverty. This year’s UN World Food Day is calling on people around the world to unite against hunger. FARM-Africa is asking our supporters to tell us how they think we can best tackle hunger. FARM-Africa believes that farming is the best way to end hunger. Why don't you let us know your thoughts?

small farm holders can be helped to tackle hunger by introduction of irrigable farming projects that would improve their subsistence farming eg kitchen gardening. This is achievable by Farm Africa funding the projects, monitoring and evaluating their implementation to ensure that the funds are appropriately utilized in both need assessments and implementation of the projects. This kind of intervention would help farmers rely on their own self rather than on food reliefs which are not food security sustainable.

The biggest problem faced by small farm holders is market for their products yet the cost of production has continuously raised up.The cost of farm inputs like seeds, fertilizer, and paying for farm labor all are raised thus leaving the farmer helpless.Iam quite sure with the help of Farm Africa track record of knowledge and research, small farmers can be liberated.
