How your church can help Give Poverty the Boot!
We’ve devised lots of fundraising ideas to involve the whole congregation. There’s plenty to appeal to children, from welly-decorating to scarecrow stuffing, and activities to bring together the whole family, such as nature walks and harvest fêtes. You can dust off those brain cells and team up for a quiz night, or skip your Sunday roast in favour of a hunger lunch. Alternatively, you can bring everyone together for a charity sports event with a difference – a wild and wacky afternoon of welly-wanging, welly football, and even welly limbo. Harvest Festival is a time to be thankful for our bountiful harvests, but also to remember those less fortunate than us who struggle with hunger and poverty.
