How your school can help Give Poverty the Boot!

Raising money to support FARM-Africa’s work means making a real difference to African farmers and their families. With every penny they raise, the children at your school are reaching out to children in Africa who lack the essentials we all take for granted, such as food, clean water, healthcare and education.

Helping FARM-Africa to Give Poverty the Boot is a great way to bring your school together and deepen children’s understanding of Africa and the differences between our ways of life. It’s also a chance to get creative and have some fun, while raising much-needed funds.

The sky’s the limit when it comes to children and imaginative fundraising activities, but to get the ball rolling here are some of our suggestions:

Give poverty the boot

  • Welly painting, decorating, collages, drawing, foot-art – anything involving a foray into your art cupboard!
  • A welly-based sports-day, with silly welly races and welly-wanging
  • A ‘wear your wellies to school’ day – a non-uniform day with a twist

Boosting your fundraising
Our downloadable poster contains useful information on FARM-Africa, and how we spend the money your school raises. Stick it on the wall and children can have fun watching the progress of their fundraising on the Big Boot-ometer.
