FARM-Africa's new forestry project begins in Tanzania
FARM-Africa’s Participatory Forest Management Project launched in Tanzania on the 30th June 2009. The new project will run until 2012 and aims to help forest communities to build upon their traditional activities such as raffia weaving, turning them into profit-making enterprises. FARM-Africa is encouraging the community, government leaders, and other partners to work together to ensure that forest resources are used sustainably. Click here to find out more about this project
