Large or small, your donations help farmers in eastern Africa to produce more food by providing them with the tools, training and support to farm their land more effectively. Your support could be invested in technology for the poorest people; it could help to train farmers in more effective agricultural techniques or could even ensure they can access water to irrigate their crops. Your donation will be used wherever it is needed the most.
We have proven that, with the right training and support, poor rural communities can work themselves out of poverty through improved ways to manage their crops, livestock, forests and access to water.
And what’s more – we share our successes with governments, private companies, other charities and individuals, so they can adopt our methods.

 £15 could help to train a farmer in Tanzania to harvest honey from forest bees. Giving them good quality honey to sell.  £30 pays for training and mentoring in water and soil conservation to improve crop yields.  £50 could provide a hunter gatherer community with training in land rights and how to manage the community’s natural resources.  £300 could train and equip a local farmer to provide crucial basic animal healthcare in their community to prevent animals dying unnecessarily.  £1000 could help set up a tree nursery, providing jobs for the poorest people and protecting the forest for future generations. |
